The Big Island of Hawaii is a land of extremes, from lava flows to rainforests and snow-capped peaks. Home to Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, Mauna Kea, and black sand beaches, the island is breathtaking.
This map is made using accurate Digital Elevation models of the island and is carved over many hours out of cherry, maple or walnut. A thin layer of tinted epoxy resin is then poured around the island cementing the beautiful island in a sea of blue.
